Individual Therapy
You've been trying to figure it out on your own. That takes courage. So does this.
Most people arrive at therapy carrying something that has stopped responding to their usual ways of managing it. The anxiety that used to pass. The pattern that keeps returning. The weight that has quietly become part of the landscape of daily life.

Research tells us that what people find most meaningful in therapy goes far beyond symptom relief — deeper self-understanding, a stronger sense of agency, and more authentic connection with the people around them. People come in wanting relief. They often leave with something they didn't know they were looking for.

Individual therapy creates a dedicated space — separate from the noise of daily life — to slow down, look honestly at what is happening, and begin to understand it more clearly. Not as a problem to be solved. But as an experience worth being curious about.
You Are Not Living in Isolation, Even though Sometimes it Feels that way.
We are deeply shaped by the relationships and experiences we move through — the ones that formed us early, the ones that have hurt us, and the ones we are navigating right now. Discover Your Path Psychotherapy doesn’t look only at your internal world. It considers the entire system you live within — how you connect with others, where you learned to protect yourself, and what patterns have quietly been running the show without your awareness.
Finding the Right Therapist
Finding the right therapist is one of the most meaningful steps in your journey toward healing and growth. A complimentary 15-minute therapy consultation gives us an opportunity to briefly connect, discuss what’s bringing you to therapy, and explore whether we feel like the right fit. If you’d like to learn more about the type of clinical relationship that might best suit you, you may find it helpful to take our Therapist Style Quiz before we speak.
How I Work
My approach is curious, direct, and deeply relational. I ask questions not to lead you somewhere I already decided you should go, but to help you find what is already in you. I won’t sit in silence. I will be an honest, engaged and present — someone who will gently name the patterns that are hard to see from the inside, while holding a space that is warm, grounded, and completely non-judgmental.
We believe our perceived weaknesses are often protective layers — responses that made sense once, that your nervous system learned and held onto. Understanding them changes your relationship with yourself. And that changes everything else.

What the Research Tells Us
The Research Factor
Relational Foundation
Clinical Approaches
Research consistently shows that the most significant factor in therapeutic outcomes is not the modality used — it is the quality of the relationship between therapist and client. Feeling genuinely heard, seen, and understood is not a byproduct of good therapy. It is the foundation of it.
This is why our approach is relational first. As a multimodal therapist, we draw on whichever combination of approaches best fits where you are — not a predetermined formula, but a responsive, intentional blend that evolves as you do.
Approaches may include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Theory, trauma-informed care, somatic approaches, and mindfulness-based practices — among others.
A Unique Depth
Our work with couples informs everything we do with individuals. When we work one on one, we bring a systemic lens to your experience — considering not just your internal world, but the relational patterns you move through every day. This means we look at how you connect, how you protect yourself, how you show up in the relationships that matter most to you — and what might be possible if some of those patterns shifted.
