Psychotherapy Practicum Placement – Yorkville University

Discover Your Path Psychotherapy is proud to support the development of future therapists by offering psychotherapy practicum placements for graduate-level counselling students with opportunity to join the team.

At this time, we exclusively accept practicum students from Yorkville University who are completing a Counselling Psychology Master Degree

Students completing their practicum with our clinic gain experience in:

• Private practice 

• Client intake and case conceptualization

• Ethical and professional standards in therapy

• Clinical documentation

• Developing therapeutic skills with supervision and mentorship

• Grief and Bereavement Therapy Groups 

• In - person grief and bereavement therapy groups if Barrie, Ontario is accessible 

We currently accept practicum placement applications for January 2027 and September 2027 placements.

Registered Psychotherapist Jobs & Social Worker Counselling Positions

We welcome applications from:

• Registered Psychotherapists (RP)

Nurse Practitioner – Mental Health

We are also seeking a Nurse Practitioner with experience in mental health care to join our interdisciplinary network.

This role supports our therapy team by providing:

• Formal mental health assessments and diagnosis

• Medication management

• Prescription services when clinically appropriate

• Collaboration with psychotherapists to support comprehensive client care

Integrating psychotherapy with medical expertise allows us to provide more holistic and effective mental health treatment for our clients.
