Careers at Discover Your Path Psychotherapy

We are a growing virtual private practice built on ethical, evidence-based, and deeply relational care. We are looking for professionals and students who share those values and want to be part of something that is being built with intention.

We are not a large clinic with a revolving door. We are a practice being built carefully — with the right people, the right values, and a long term vision for what collaborative mental health care can look like.

We currently have opportunities for the following roles:

Independent Contractor — Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker

We are seeking a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) providing psychotherapy to join our practice as an independent contractor.
This is not an employee position — it is a contractor arrangement suited to a clinician who wants the support of an established practice while maintaining professional autonomy.
You will work with individuals and couples navigating concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, life transitions, ADHD, BPD, and more.

Nurse Practitioner — Mental Health

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner with experience in mental health care to join our interdisciplinary network in a collaborative capacity.

This role supports our therapy team by providing formal mental health assessments, diagnosis, medication management, and prescription services where clinically appropriate — working alongside psychotherapists to support comprehensive, integrated client care.

Practicum Placement — Yorkville University

Discover Your Path Psychotherapy is proud to support the development of future therapists through psychotherapy practicum placements for Yorkville University graduate students in Counselling Psychology.

We currently accept students who are Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) or working toward that designation.

Students gain experience in:

  • Private practice operations and culture
  • Client intake and case conceptualization
  • Ethical and professional standards in therapy
  • Clinical documentation
  • Therapeutic skill development with supervision and mentorship
  • Grief and bereavement therapy groups
  • In-person grief and bereavement groups in Barrie, Ontario where accessible

We are currently accepting applications for:

  • January 2027 placements
  • September 2026 & 2027 placements

Field Placement — Social Media & Digital Marketing

Georgian College | Marketing, Communications & Digital Media Programs

We are looking for a Georgian College student in a Marketing, Communications, or Digital Media program to join us for a field placement focused on social media and digital marketing.

This is a volunteer placement with an honorarium, offering hands-on experience in a growing private practice setting.

You will gain experience in:

  • Social media content creation and scheduling
  • SEO and digital marketing fundamentals
  • Healthcare marketing within ethical and regulatory guidelines
  • Supporting a small business brand from the ground up

This is a rare opportunity to build a real portfolio in a niche industry with genuine creative responsibility from day one.
